Your journey begins in the breathtaking Solang Valley, known for its lush meadows and surrounding snow-capped peaks. Upon arrival, check into your alpine tents and meet your fellow trekkers and the Trivikal trek leader.

The first day is all about acclimatization – stroll around the valley, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and let your body adjust to the altitude. Your trek leader will also conduct an equipment check to ensure you have everything ready for the days ahead.

Start the day with a hearty breakfast before heading out for a short acclimatization trek to the Patalsu Trail. The route begins at the Beas River, offering scenic views from the get-go.

You’ll climb gently through dense alpine forests of brown oak, spruce, and horse chestnut, with occasional clearings that give picture-perfect views of the valley. This light hike prepares your body for higher altitudes while allowing you to soak in Solang’s natural beauty.

Today, a scenic drive takes you to Dhundi, the gateway to some of Himachal’s most spectacular treks. From here, your Friendship Peak adventure officially begins as you trek towards the Lady Leg campsite – named because the slope resembles a woman’s leg.

The route is steeper than before, with moraine patches, glacial streams, and Bhoj Patar Ridge, where ancient locals once used birch bark to write messages. The higher you climb, the more the landscape opens up to reveal Pir Panjal, Hanuman Tibba, Beas Kund, and Dhauladhar ranges.

  • Altitude: 12,800 ft

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today is all about mountaineering preparation. Under the guidance of your Trivikal trek leader, you’ll learn how to use crampons, ice axes, and walk safely on snow slopes.

After training, you can take short hikes to nearby ridges or just relax at camp while enjoying views of towering Himalayan peaks. This session is vital – the upcoming summit push will demand both technical skill and stamina.

  • Summit Altitude: 17,352 ft

  • Trek Distance: ~5 km

  • Duration: 8–9 hours (ascent)

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Your day starts in the late evening as you gear up for the most thrilling part of the expedition – the midnight summit attempt. Wearing crampons, with an ice axe in hand and headlamps lighting the way, you’ll trek over icy slopes in the silence of the Himalayas.

The climb is steep and demanding, but as dawn breaks, you’ll be rewarded with the most spectacular sunrise you’ve ever witnessed – golden rays illuminating endless Himalayan peaks.

  • Trek Distance: ~5 km descent

  • Duration: 6–7 hours

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

If the summit was reached the previous night, today you make your triumphant descent back to Lady Leg campsite. The return journey offers an entirely different perspective – peaks you climbed towards now stand behind you, and lush valleys spread out below.

Enjoy the evening celebrating your achievement with your trek mates under a star-studded sky.

  • Trek Distance: 3 km descent

  • Duration: 2–3 hours

  • Meals: Breakfast

The final day of trekking takes you through alpine meadows bursting with yellow wildflowers and forests alive with bird calls. From Dhundi, a vehicle will transfer you back to Solang Valley where your Friendship Peak Trek with Trivikal concludes.

Leave with not just photographs, but the sense of accomplishment that comes from conquering one of Himachal’s finest trekking summits.
