The best time to visit Kashmir depends on the kind of experience you want.
- Spring (March–May): Famous for the Tulip Festival in Srinagar and pleasant weather.
- Summer (June–August): Ideal for sightseeing, shikara rides, and exploring valleys like Pahalgam and Sonmarg.
- Winter (December–February): Perfect for snow lovers – Gulmarg turns into a skiing paradise, and Sonmarg remains magical with snow-covered peaks.
The package includes a mix of comfortable standard hotels and a traditional houseboat stay in Srinagar.
- 3 nights in Srinagar (hotel)
- 1 night in Pahalgam (hotel)
- 2 nights in Gulmarg (hotel)
- 1 night in Srinagar (houseboat)
Hotels are allocated based on availability, and in case a particular property is not available, guests are accommodated in a similar category hotel without compromising comfort.
The Gondola ride in Gulmarg and pony ride to Thajiwas Glacier in Sonmarg are not included in the package price. These are optional activities that can be booked directly on the spot at an additional cost. This gives travelers flexibility to choose whether they want to experience them or not.
The package includes daily breakfast and one major meal (lunch or dinner) at the hotels/houseboat. Travelers are free to explore local Kashmiri cuisine outside as well – must-try dishes include Rogan Josh, Dum Aloo, Kahwa tea, and Kashmiri Wazwan platters.
Packing depends on the season:
- Spring/Summer: Light woolens, comfortable walking shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat.
- Autumn/Winter: Heavy woolens, thermals, gloves, jackets, boots, and mufflers.
- Always carry a valid ID proof (PAN card not accepted) and a reusable water bottle.
- Keep dry snacks and basic medicines handy as travel between valleys can be long.
