Sri Lanka is a year-round destination, but for this itinerary covering Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Bentota, and Colombo, the best months are:
- December to March: Ideal for beaches and Bentota river experiences.
- February to April: Pleasant weather in the central highlands (Kandy and Nuwara Eliya) for sightseeing and nature walks.
Monsoon seasons may bring occasional rain, especially in the southwest (May–September) and northeast (October–January).
